ASIAN 333: What is a Hero?

After analyzing stories about various mythical heroes, I chose to focus on Ip Man (叶问), a real person who has been made into a hero. His legacy has been passed on and mythologized by numerous portrayals on-screen. In this paper, I compared Wilson Yip and Wong Kar-wai's interpretation of Ip Man's monomyth.
